Global leadership must realise that all roads to peace pass through Kashmir: Professor Bhat
Srinagar: Muslim conference chief and senior Hurriyat leader Professor Abdul Gani Bhat on Tuesday speaking to people at Handwara in a reiteration of his political stance said that dialogue is the only forward to move on Kashmir.
He said that the leaders who want to move ahead in the work have their ways loaded with darkness and the future is threatened as all roads to peace pass through Kashmir.
“The global leadership and especially that of South Asia should be guided by reason and not anger,” he said.
He asked the people across the subcontinent to rise above bitter yesterday and build a better and brighter tomorrow.
“Now is the time we call a spade a spade and initiate a positive dialogue and explore possibilities of an acceptable hounrable and durable solution of the dispute of Kashmir in the larger interests of peace, cordiality, and a secure future,” he said.
Professor Bhat said that people should leave the fighting to animals and humans should always look for solutions to issues.
The Hurriyat leader said this while visiting the ailing Hurriyat leader Mohammed Musadiq Adil where the present political situation in Kashmir was discussed. (FPK)
