GDC’s in Jammu to observe Summer vacation from June 14

JAMMU (KIMS) — In view of the extreme hot weather conditions, the Higher Education Department (HED) on Thursday ordered Summer vacation in Government Degree Colleges falling in Summer Zone of Jammu division.

According to a communique, “The Summer vacation in Government Degree Colleges in Summer Zone of Jammu division shall come into effect from June 14, 2024.”

“It is hereby ordered that Government Degree Colleges of the UT of J&K falling under Summer Zone (Jammu Division) shall observe summer vacations w.e.f. June 14, 2024 to July 28, 2024,” reads the communique.

On Tuesday, the Directorate of School Education, Jammu (DSEJ) had announced Summer vacation in schools falling in Summer Zone of Jammu Division from June 1, 2024 to July 16, 2024.

The decision was taken in view of the extreme hot weather conditions in Jammu Division of the Union Territory. — (KIMS)
