GD Goenka School Asks Students To Pay For Rs 700 As Heating Charges

Srinagar: As the authorities claim to have streamlined the fee regulation system in private Schools, a leading Private School G D Goenka has now issued another controversial dictate asking students to pay separately for heating arrangements.

The new dictate by the school authorities have shocked parents as they are being already charged five thousand a month and now the additional seven hundred rupees for heating arrangements is bound to pinch them more.

Many parents told Kashmir Clarion that they fail to understand why the authorities in School Education or divisional administration are not waking up from the slumber and come to the rescue of the parents.

”This is realy turning out to be a fixed match. The Director is beating the drum of remaining intolerant to private school’s hegemony, yet fails to take even notice of such grave exploitation.”

Parents told adding that they are already paying hefty amount as tuition fee and bus charges and now the additional charges were unjustified.

They have appealed authorities to take a serious note and take action against the said school.

Meanwhile Director School Education Dr. G.N Itoo told that he too has received the complaint against the School and has called the management tomorrow morning to see what the facts were.

”I have advised my Joint Director to call the management of the G D Goenka School tomorrow morning and will see in what context they have sought the additional.” Mr.Itoo told. (Kashmir Clarion)
