Gas Agencies Loot People In Baramulla To Get Free Gas Connections, Allege Locals

Baramulla, Nov 24: The resident of Baramulla on Saturday alleged that the gas agencies in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district are ‘looting’ the innocent people in the name of free gas connections.

Locals said that several local gas agencies are demanding Rs 1000 to 1200 from the people who have submitted forms for free gas connections.

Talking to KNS Baramulla Correspondents Manzoor Sheeri, General Manager of Raizada Gas agency Baramulla said that people are advised not to pay any amount against the connections.

He said that consumer should not pay any amount to local gas agencies for free gas connections issued to them on loan; the amount will be recovered in installments against the subsidy.

He added that strict action will be taken against the agencies who are demanding amount from the consumers. (KNS)
