Ganderbal Police Refutes Rumors About Non-Local Laborers Being Asked to Leave

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have firmly refuted recent social media rumours claiming that non-local labourers in the Ganderbal district were being asked to leave. In an official statement, the Ganderbal Police denounced these reports as baseless, assuring the public that no such directive had been issued.

“We urge the public not to believe in these unfounded rumors. The police and local administration are dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for everyone, including non-local workers. We have enhanced security measures in place, and any attempts to spread misinformation will be dealt with strictly,” a senior Ganderbal police officer stated.

This clarification comes at a time when Jammu and Kashmir is focusing on stability and improving its image through peace-building initiatives. The authorities stressed that anyone found attempting to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere with false claims would face legal action.

The police also encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities or unverified rumors to the authorities rather than sharing them on social media.

With this swift and proactive response, the Ganderbal Police aim to curb the spread of misinformation and maintain harmony in the district.
