Ganderbal Police files charge sheet against 06 persons for Militant activities

Srinagar: Ganderbal Police today submitted a charge sheet before the competent court for case FIR No: 69/2019 against the 06 accused persons including 01 Pakistani militant who was killed in the encounter at Kullan in 2019. The case was registered at PS Gund in 2019 under ULA(P) Act and pertains to terror crime activities

The accused individuals include Farooq Ahmad Sheikh resident of Kullan, Rayees Ahmad Lone resident of Gund, Nisar Ahmad @Batchi resident of Hajin, Tariq Ahmad Ganai resident of Fraw Haknar, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat resident of Kangan & a Pakistani militant Zargam @Talha who was killed during encounter at Kullan in 2019.

As per the police investigation they are involved in actively supporting and assisting the active militant in the area, harbouring of active militants & providing logistic support besides transporting them from one place to another. As per the investigation their involvement has been established in unlawful activities including terror crimes.

Pertinently one of the accused Nisar @Batchi is an active militant affiliated with proscribed militant outfit LeT while another co accused, a militant from Pakistan Zargam @Talha was killed in the encounter at Kullan.

Based on the evidences collected during the course of investigation, they have been found to be involved in the terror crime case and accordingly while pursuing the investigations in a professional manner, today a charge sheet was presented before the Hon’ble court. All the five accused are lodged in judicial custody.
