G A Mir condemns manhandling of SDM Dooru, seeks action against Army officer

Srinagar: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee(JKPCC) President G A Mir has strongly condemned the manhandling of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dooru Ghulam Rasool Wani by an Army officer in Ujroo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.

Expressing serious concern over the incident G A Mir described the manhandling of SDM as very unfortunate, and shameful act and asked the Govt to conduct an immediate enquiry against the responsible Army Officer.

“Such incidents would further alienate  people. People have already lost faith in the system and today’s incident of manhandling has sent shock waves across the valley,” Mir said.

“It was a shameful act on the part of Army Officer and action must be initiated against him,” G A Mir added and urged the Army top Brass to initiate court martial against the guilty officer.
