From 3 years 500 meter long Link Road repair demand

The connecting road of Friends Colony A in Zaffron Colony Sempora has been very dilapidated for the past several years due to which the population is facing many problems. Locals alleged that the colony is being deliberately ignored. The condition of the road is so bad that deep ruts have formed on the road and rainwater has accumulated in them. SMS Key Wing City Roads Srinagar conducted several surveys regarding road renewal and repair during the last 3 years and assured to fulfill the long standing demand of the people, however till date this 500 meter long link road has not been repaired.

Bashir Ahmad Khan, president of the committee, told ANN News that a road was laid 10 years ago on this connecting road from the main road to Ferns Lane adjacent to the wall of the Indian Oil Depot, but it has not been repaired until today. is in a bad condition and needs immediate repair. He said that during the last 3 years although the concerned department has inspected the road many times and assured of renovation and repair, but the work has not been started till date due to which this road is getting dilapidated day by day and now it has become difficult to walk on it.
Local citizen Syed Nisar Ahmed Andrabi said that not only the bad weather conditions, but also in summer, it has become impossible for people to walk on the road, while the vehicles plying on the road are also suffering heavy damage. People demanded immediate repair of the communication road. While doing this, the SMC Commissioner and the LG Administration have been appealed to intervene so as to provide relief to the people.
