Four drug peddlers arrested in Reasi, 9.76 grams heroin recovered
JAMMU (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested four notorious drug peddlers in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday and recovered 9.76 grams of heroin (Chitta) from their possession.
“A vehicle bearing Registration No. JK20A-8100 coming from Katra towards Reasi was intercepted for routine inspection during a naka checking operation at Sula Naka. Upon thorough checking, 9.76 grams of heroin was recovered from the occupants, identified as Anil Sharma, Shubham Singh, Vivek Raina, and Kamal Kumar,” police said in a statement.
In this regard, a case, FIR No. 209/2024 under Sections 8, 21, 22, 29 of the NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
Further investigation is underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages of the arrested individuals. — (KIMS)
