Forces launch CASO in Pulwama village, clashes erupt

Pulwama: Clashes erupted between government forces and youths at Drabgam village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.

The clashes erupted after government forces including 44RR, SOG and J&K Police launched cordon and search operation in Drabgam village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Soon after cordon and search operation was launched in Drabgam village, youths took to streets and pelted stones on government forces. The government forces retaliated by firing tear gas shells and sound shells.

The search operation was going on in the village when reports last came in.
