FIR registered against Pahalgam hotel for concealing stay of foreign nationals
SRINAGAR (KIMS) ā Police have registered an FIR against a hotel in Pahalgam for allegedly concealing the stay of foreign nationals and violating mandatory reporting norms, police said on Monday.
Police in a statement said, during routine checking in the Dehwatoo area, it was found that 23 foreign nationals, including 19 British nationals had checked into Hotel Misty Mountains Laddi on the evening of March 22, 2026.
Police said the hotel management willfully concealed the presence of the foreign guests from Police Station Pahalgam and failed to submit the mandatory Form āCā, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners and Immigration Act, 2025 and compromising prescribed security protocols.
An FIR No. 18/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam and further investigation has been initiated.
Police have urged all hotel operators to strictly comply with legal requirements regarding reporting of foreign guests. ā (KIMS)
