Fazilka Police Recover 2 Kg Heroin After Encounter Near Ladhuka Bridge
Fazilka, Punjab — In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Fazilka Police recovered 2 kilograms of heroin following a brief but intense encounter with a suspected drug smuggler near Ladhuka Bridge. The operation was led by the CIA Fazilka team.
According to officials, the accused attempted to flee the scene on a motorcycle and opened fire on the police party, discharging two rounds. The police, acting in self-defense, responded with controlled fire, resulting in the suspect being injured and apprehended on the spot.
Recovered items include:
- 2 Kg of Heroin (divided into four packets)
- One .32 bore pistol
- Four live cartridges
- Two empty shells
- One motorcycle
The swift and professional response of the police team prevented a potential escape and led to the successful recovery of the contraband. The injured accused has been taken into custody and is receiving medical attention under police supervision.
