‘Farm activities to be allowed in Kashmir under strict norms’
Srinagar: With the number of ‘red zone’ areas mounting to 90 in J&K, including 76 in Kashmir alone, Divisional Administration Kashmir has decided to “facilitate” farm activities under strict guidelines.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole, while talking with Greater Kashmir said efforts will be made to “facilitate agri-rural economy while ensuring strict adherence to preventive norms against covid19 spread”.
He said that in Kashmir’s all districts there are red zones, where there will be more strict control. “While complying strict norms, agriculture and rural economy will be facilitated,” he said. However, he cleared that the prime importance “is lockdown” to prevent covid19 spread.
Another, senior official in the administration, told Greater Kashmir that the decision to facilitate agri-rural economy, has been taken considering the guidelines of Central Government to avoid any shortage of food.
