Family of Martyred PTI Activist Allegedly Threatened by Police, Nation Demands Action
Islamabad: A police officer in Balochistan, SHO Asif, has been accused of threatening the family of Ahmed Wali Shaheed, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker who was killed during a protest at D-Chowk, Islamabad. Reports claim the officer told the family, “Your son is already dead; now we will urinate on his grave.”
Ahmed Wali was killed by a sniper during a peaceful protest. His death raised concerns about the safety of political activists and the role of law enforcement in ensuring their protection.
The family, grieving their loss, described the threats as a cruel attempt to silence their demand for justice. In a statement, they said, “We have already lost our son. Now we are being humiliated and threatened instead of being supported.”
The alleged threats have sparked public anger, with hashtags like #JusticeForAhmedWali and #StopPoliceBrutality trending on social media. PTI leaders and human rights activists have condemned the incident, calling it a violation of justice and human dignity.
Citizens are demanding an investigation into both Ahmed Wali’s death and the threats made by SHO Asif. The family continues to call for accountability and justice for their son.
This case has become a symbol of the broader struggle against police brutality and impunity in Pakistan
