Fake Influencer Attempts to Disturb Peace in Doda, Exposed by ANN News

A self-styled social media influencer from Delhi, seeking cheap publicity and monetary gain, attempted to disturb peace in Doda by spreading fake claims and misusing sensitive issues for personal benefit.

 

The individual recently arrived in Doda and began circulating misleading content on his social media platforms. He falsely claimed that he would secure the release of Mehraj Malik, currently under detention, within 48 hours. To gain attention, he also spread a fabricated story that he had been detained by police early in the morning — a claim that ANN News verified as completely false.

 

 

 

Locals expressed anger over his activities, accusing him of exploiting Malik’s case to collect money and attract social media views. “He came here just for TRP and money. Why should Doda administration even allow such a person, when his social media is already full of hate?” said a local school teacher.

 

 

 

A woman from Doda added, “He was running fake news on social media just to get attention and earn money. People like him should be shown the way out of Doda.”

 

 

 

 

Reports also suggest that the influencer urged people to transfer money into his personal account, raising further suspicion of financial exploitation.

Citizens and community voices are now urging the Doda administration to take strict action and book the individual for creating disturbances and attempting to mislead the public.
