‘Fake Doctor’ Failed To Produce Documents Before Authorities As Two Days Time Ended Today
Srinagar, Jan 9: The fake doctor has failed to produce any document before the authorities’ in frontier district Kupwara as two days time given to him ended on Wednesday evening.
On 7 January 2019, the clinic of this fake doctor was ‘raided’ by the authorities. He was given two days time to produce qualification and registration certificates issued by competent authority, if any.
“No, he had not produced any certificate. The law will take its own course on Thursday (January 10),” said an official, who wished not to be named.
As verified with Office of The Registrar Board of Ayervedic/ Unani Sowarigpa (AMCHI) Yoga and Naturopathy System of Medicine J&K in its respond to ANN News e-mail said that the Nazir Ahmad Mir is not registered with them.
As -per the Jammu and Kashmir Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, it is mandatory for any “legally qualified medical practitioner” or “duly qualified medical practitioner” to get registered with this Board. However, this fake doctor doesn’t appear its list.
This fake doctor is producing a certificate wherein he claims to have completed his degree from “The Birja Medical College of Allopathy — Government Of British India.”
This “British India” college doesn’t exist anywhere in India. The doctor now claims to have got registration from Directorate of Industries and Commerce (DIC).
DIC deals with all aspects of planning and development of small scale and tiny industrial units and provides registration to business units. However, it has no authority to provide any degree or diploma certificate to any doctor or recognize any persons as doctor.
The story came to light when ANN News — the most watched news channel in J&K highlighted the issue in its current affairs programme.
