Enemy trying to create situation like the past: DGP

Srinagar, July 6 Director General of Police (DGP) R R Swain on Saturday warned that the enemy is attempting to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir by sending foreign terrorists to create a situation similar to the past.

“We have been saying time and again that the enemy has challenged us. They think they can take advantage of our borders and create a situation like before by sending foreign terrorists,” DGP Swain said according to KNS correspondent.

He assured that the security forces, including the J&K police, are determined to defeat the enemy’s plans. “We are determined to defeat them, and we have already done so in the past. We know they have no regard for the law and will only bring suffering to the people,” he said.

DGP Swain also highlighted the importance of community support in fighting terrorism. “When we see our boys from our villages, cities, and communities working for our soil, people, and environment, we feel proud to be a part of this effort,” he said.

“We will not let the enemy succeed in their plans. We are committed to maintaining peace and stability in J&K,” DGP Swain assured.(KNS)
