Encounter started in Pattan

Baramulla: An encounter started between government forces and militants at Yadipora Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday morning.

Sources said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.

Earlier, government forces including J&K Police, Army’s 29 RR and CRPF had jointly launched search operation in the village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

The encounter was underway when this report was filed.
