Encounter rages in Shopian village

Srinagar, April 28: Encounter breaks out between goverment forces and militants in Melhora Area of Zainpora in South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Tuesday.
Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of Police and army’s 55 RR launched cordon and search operation in Melhora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
Till this report was being filed intermittent firing was going on.
