Encounter breaks out in Shopian village
Shopian: Encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Baderhama, Zawoora village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday evening.
Reports said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.
Earlier government forces had launched cordon and search operation (CASO) in Baderhama Zawoora village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Firing was going on when reports last came in.
Meanwhile authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
