Encounter breaks out in Pulwama village; Mobile internet, train service suspended
Pulwama: An encounter broke out between government forces and militants at Braw Bandina village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
Reports said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.
Earlier, government forces including 55 RR, SOG and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation in the village following the specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile authorities snapped down mobile internet services in PD Awantipora, Pulwama and Shopian districts of South Kashmir as a precautionary measure.
Further train services between Banihal and Srinagar have also been suspended as a precautionary measure.
