Encounter Breaks Out In Kokernag

Anantnag: Encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Kashwan area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday afternoon.

Sources said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.

Earlier, government forces had launched CASO (Cordon and Search Operation) in the area following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Meanwhile authorities have snapped down internet services in Anantnag district as a precautionary measure.
