Encounter Breaks Out In Anantnag Village, Internet Services Snapped

Anantnag: Encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Katto, Wopzan area in Bijbehara town of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports said 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.

Earlier, government forces had launched cordon and search operation in the area following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Firing was going on when reports last came in.

Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Anantnag district as a precautionary measure.
