Encounter breaks out in Anantnag village, 2nd in a day
Anantnag: An encounter breaks out between government forces and militants at Sirhama village in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday evening.
According to reports 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in this encounter.
Earlier, government forces including Army’s 3 RR, J&K Police had launched cordon and search operation in Sirhama village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Pertinently, its the second encounter in South Kashmir in less than 24 hours.
Earlier in the day, an encounter took place between government forces and militants at Machoma village in Tral in which one local militant of Al-Badr outfit was killed
