Eliminated Militant Shakil Janbaaz Was Trained In Martial Art By Pak Army
*18 SEP 2023* A Militant killed during the Reasi Encounter earlier this month has been identified as Shakil Janbaaz, a resident of Panag Kotli in Pakistan’s occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to reports, Pakistan is now employing a new method by deploying terrorists who have undergone intensive training similar to that of Special Service Group (SSG) Commandos, a special forces unit of the Pakistan Army.
Reports add that Shakil was not only provided with weapons but also received martial arts training. He was killed on September 4 in the Tuli area of Reasi District. The Additional Director General of Police of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, confirmed the news of his neutralisation as per a PTI report.
Meanwhile, this week has witnessed three major terror incidents in Rajouri, Anantnag, and an infiltration bid in the Uri sector of Baramulla District. In these encounters, five terrorists have been neutralised, and four army personnel of the security forces, along with a service dog, were killed in action.
The Anantnag operation is still ongoing and has entered its sixth day. As per previous reports, the area is under heavy shelling, and the Army is making persistent efforts to flush out the terrorists holed up in the natural caves of Anantnag’s hilly terrains. Unmanned aerial vehicles have been employed by the army to maintain continuous vigilance and to target terrorist hideouts using micro-munitions from drones.
