Dr. Ahmed Haque was Inducted as The New Member and an Advisory Board Panelist of The Delhi Minority Commission.
Dr. Ahmed Haque, a well-known philanthropist, activist, and entrepreneur based out of Mumbai was appointed as the Member of the Delhi Minority Commission (Govt. of NCT, Delhi-India) on 1st May 2022.
Dr. Ahmed Haque has enhanced his expertise in religious minority issues and he has been constantly working towards addressing those concerns and promoting peace and religious harmony. He is also an advocate of world peace and his extensive work on the grassroots level towards channelizingthe energy of the Muslim youth to promote the tolerance for interfaith values to establish world peace.
Considering his contribution toward people’s welfare and his experience as a Social Activist, Peace Ambassador – UN, Human Rights Defender, and his current position as the Trustee at Masjid Wa Madrasa Baitul Aakhirah, the existing committee of the minority commission also decided to include Dr. Ahmed Haque in the Panel of the Advisory Board of the committee.
In an interview held after his empanelment ceremony, Dr. Ahmed said, “As an activist and Human Rights Defender, I hope the I will be able to successfully fulfill my duties as the member and panelist. I also pray that I can put my knowledge and experience to complete use Protect The Human Rights, Empower Women, and Youth, especially those from minority communities in India.
