Downipawa residents protest against shortage of drinking water

Anantnag: The residents of Downipawa area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday staged a protest against Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department for failing to provide them drinking water.
The residents assembled and blocked Achabal-Anantnag road in protest leading to a long and messy traffic jam in the area.
The residents told that we face problems due to immense shortage of drinking water. We have approached many times to concerned authorities but nothing was done on ground level.
