Doctor tests positive for Coronavirus in Baramulla
Srinagar: A junior doctor posted at Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, becoming the first frontline health worker affected by the novel disease in Kashmir.
An official said that the doctor tested positive after coming in contact with an infected patient.
He said that all his contacts have been traced and they have been put under quarantine.
Quoting Medical Superintendent, GMC Baramulla, Dr. Syed Masood Bukhari, news agency KNO said that the junior resident doctor has tested positive for COVID-19.
As per the Medical Superintendent, 18 contacts of the doctor have been put under quarantine at GMC Baramulla. “The doctor has also been kept under isolation at GMC,” he said.
