Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Visit SKIMS Following Gagangir Terror Attack
Srinagar – In the wake of the tragic terror attack in Gagangir, Sonmarg, which claimed the lives of six civilians, including a doctor, senior officials swiftly reached Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura to oversee the treatment of the injured. Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, arrived at the hospital to monitor the condition of the victims and ensure they receive the best possible care.
The visit comes after a devastating attack allegedly carried out by the Resistance Front (TRF), which targeted civilians in the Gagangir area. Several injured individuals were transferred to SKIMS for critical care following the attack.
Commissioner Bidhuri and DC Dr. Bhat interacted with the medical teams to ensure that all necessary resources are being utilized for the injured. They also extended their sympathies to the families of the victims and assured them of the government’s support during this tragic time.
Security forces, including Assam Rifles, CRPF, and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, continue to conduct search operations in the Gagangir area to apprehend the attackers, while the valley remains on high alert.
