DIPR, Education Department organise symposium at GGHSS Bhaderwah
BHADERWAH, APRIL 23: Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), in collaboration with the Education Department, organised a symposium on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and Environment Conservation at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, here today.
Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mir Aftab Alam was the chief guest, while Principal of the host school, Bharat Boshan Sharma was guest of honour .
In all, 10 students of the school participated in the symposium and expressed their views on the topic.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest recalled the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom. He also appealed to the students to keep their surroundings clean and pollution free.
The Guest of honour lauded the Information Department and Education Department for organising the symposium in the school.
Sr. Lecturer, Koushal Kumar, Lecturer, Hemraj and Teacher, Seema Naz acted as jury members.
First prize was bagged by Rameesa Khan, Shruti Sharma got second prize while Tehleem Ameen clinched third position in the symposium.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Arif Rana (Teacher).
