DHSK Directs All Hospital Administrators To Ensure Uninterrupted Healthcare Services

Srinagar: Director Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) Dr. Kunzes Dolma today chaired a Review Meeting of Health Department in the meeting hall of Public Health Building, Barzulla wherein she took detailed review of overall functioning of the Health Department including performance indicators, physical/financial progress of various national health schemes, institution wise work done, rationalization of staff, availability of drugs, medicines & medical equipments, status of ongoing constructions, disaster management and preparedness, status of implementation of various National Health Programmes including Ayushman Bharat, functioning of emergency rooms.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Level Officers, all Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents of District Hospitals including Scheme Officers of the department.
DHSK was informed by all the district level officers that the stocks of medicine, emergency drugs etc are adequately available at the health care institutions and Disaster Managements Units/ Emergency Rooms and Save Heart Initiatives are already in the state of preparedness.
Dr. Dolma stressed upon the officers to ensure adequate stock of requisite drugs and logistics are readily available both at divisional & district level. She also directed all the hospital administrators to be proactive so as to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services are provided to patients at peripheral health institutions in view of the inclement weather and heavy snowfall.
During the meeting all CMOs and Medical Superintendents appraised the chair about various health care services being provided to the public at large.
In order to implement the schemes within guidelines, a threadbare discussion was held and all the officers were directed to ensure implementation of various health related schemes strictly in accordance to the guidelines of Government of India.
DHSK assured full support to the administrators in overcoming difficulties of various origins faced during the healthcare delivery system or otherwise. (KNS)
