DGP, J&K Chairs High-Level Security Meet Ahead of 78th I-Day
Srinagar, Aug 13 : As part of preparation for the 78th Independence Day celebrations, Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu & Kashmir, R.R. Swain, chaired a high-level security meeting today to assess and enhance security measures across the Union Territory.
“The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of threat assessments, countermeasures, and surveillance strategies. Discussions also covered supervision, intelligence gathering, personnel deployment, and access control to ensure a smooth and secure event,” sources close to the meeting informed the news agency—Kashmir News Corner.
They further added that senior officials from the Civil Administration, Police, Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and intelligence agencies participated in the meeting. “They provided the DGP with detailed briefings on their respective preparations, highlighting coordinated efforts on multiple fronts,” said the sources.—(KNC)
