Delhi Police Arrested A Hizb Militant He Was Wanted In Murder Of SI Imtiyaz Mir Of JKP
In a statement Delhi Police claimed to have arrested an operative of Militant organization Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Wanted in murder of Intelligence Officer (CID) of J&K Police Sub Inspector Imtiyaz Mir in Delhi.
A team of Special Cell led by Insp. Satish Rana and Insp. Ravinder Joshi of New Delhi Range under supervision of ACP Govind Sharma, apprehended one AnsarUlHaqe, aged28 years s/o Bashir Ahmad Raina r/o Lone Mohalla, Vill. TikanBatapora, Distt. Pulwama, J&K an operative of militant organization Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) wanted in murder of SI ImtiyazAhmad Mir of J&K Police CID Branch.
Information
An information was received that one operative of terror outfit HM named AnsarUlHaqe, who is wanted in the murder of Sub-Inspector of J&K Police is hiding in Delhi. Accordingly a team consisting of Insp. Ravinder Joshi, SI Manoj Kumar, SI Arvind, SI Vikram Singh, SI Sukhbir Singh, ASI AkashTomar, ASI Gulab Singh, ASI Brijpal, ASI Amar Singh, HC Kapoor Singh, HCMukesh& HC Ravi was formed to apprehend him.
Brief of Incident
On 28/10/2018, a bullet-ridden body of a 30-year-old intelligence officer SI Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir was found in ChewaKalan area, Pulwama District in Jammu and Kashmir. SIImtiyaz Ahmad Mir, a resident of Pulwama, working with the CID Department was travelling in his car on his way home, was reportedly abducted by militants and killed.
SI ImtiyazAhmad Mir, Sub-Inspector of J&K Police 2010 Batch, was son of retired police officer. He had served in Ganderbal District of South Kashmir for five years before being transferred to Kulgam district last year. He was shifted to the CID department in March this year and his superiors recalled his dedication towards his work. He was warned against venturing into his village as there was a possibility of attack by militant groups, who have been targeting policemen in the state recently. But he was entraped by the accused and his girl friend and was killed by the militants. A case was registered under section 302 IPC at PS Pulwama, J&K.
Operation
The Special Cell team searched the accused AnsarUlHaqe in different possible hideouts in and around Delhi. In the meanwhile it came to notice that the accused is changing his hideouts and has shifted to Mumbai and thereafter to, Bangalore and other nearby areas.
On 20/11/2018, a specific information was received that accused Ansar ul Haqe will come to Delhi Airport from Bangalore and will further go to Srinagar.
Apprehension
On the basis of specific information a trap was laid at IGI Airport and in the early morning today accused AnsarUlHaqe, aged 28 years s/o Bashir Ahmad Raina r/o Vill. TikenBatpura, Distt. Pulwama, J&K was apprehended at T3 terminal of IGI Airport.
Interrogation of Accused
Accused AnsarUlHaqe is a post graduate in English from Islamic University of Science & Technology, Avantipora. Father of accused AnsarUlHaqeis inApple fruit Business. He has one brother, working as Govt. Teacher, at Vill. Mitrigam, Pulwama. He has two sisters who are married.Ansar has recently married on 03/08/18.
Accused Ansar ul Haqewas apolitical worker and later,on the motivation of one local militant namely Wajidr/o Babhara, Pulwama he came in contact with militant organization Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. He was in regular contact with other HM Militants namely Liyakat, Shau Cable, Shahid Ahmad Baba, Zahid Tiger, Zahur. He used to pass information to the militants about the movements of security forces and local police officers.
In the month of October, 2018 he was directed by ZahurThokar to provide movement details of SI ImtiyazAhmad Mir of CID Branch of J&K Police. Accused roped in his girlfriend Syed Saika for this task as she had acquaintance with the deceased Sub Inspector.
As per plan, on 28/10/2018, accused dropped Ms. Syed Saika at Amar Singh College in Srinagar and directed her to call SI Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir and bring him towards Pulwama. Accordingly on the direction of accused, Ms Syed Saika met SI Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir where she learnt that SI Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir was going to his native place in Pulwama. She requested him to drop her enroute to Pulwama.
Ms Syed Saika passed the details to accused regarding deceased Sub-Inspector, accordingly accused waited for them in his I-10 Car at Chattargam Petrol Pump. He also informed militant group about the same and the details of I-10 Grand Silver colourcar number of deceased Sub Inspector. Militant group directed accused to keep watch and timely pass on the information when any movement is noticed. At about 1 pm accused saw his girlfriend Ms. Syed Saika accompanying police personnel in car and accordingly he followed the car and passed the information to the militant group. After crossing of Karimabad, militants intercepted the I-10 Grand Silver car of SI Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir and later killed him.
Accused has been apprehended and information has been passed on to Jammu and Kashmir Police for further necessary action.
