Delhi Blast Confirmed as Terror Attack Linked to Jaish Network

 

Delhi Police have officially declared the Red Fort car explosion a terror attack after DNA results identified the bomber as Dr Umar Nabi, a Pulwama-born medical professional connected to the Faridabad-based “doctor module.” His remains matched samples taken from his family, confirming he was driving the i20 that blew up near the historic site.

 

 

 

 

Investigators say the focus now is on the wider network behind him. The probe points to a structured group of educated operatives, multiple safe houses across Delhi and NCR, several vehicles prepared for movement, and digital handlers operating from outside India. Officers familiar with the investigation say the pattern matches the working style of Jaish-e-Mohammed, the Pakistan-based group long accused of planning attacks on Indian targets.

 

 

 

 

 

Security officials believe the group continues to rely on Pakistan’s support system, including training and facilitation networks. They say Jaish has shifted tactics by using doctors, engineers and even women as low-profile operatives, but the strategy and ideology remain unchanged.

 

 

 

 

The Delhi blast is now seen as part of a larger timeline that includes the Parliament attack, Pathankot, Pulwama and other strikes linked to the same network. Agencies argue that the structure behind these attacks has stayed consistent even as modules inside India evolve.
