DDC Chairman Budgam thanks JKSA for facilitating return of mortal remains of Kashmiri Student from West Bengal
District Development Chairman Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan here on Sunday has expressed his gratitude to the J&K Students Association for their role in facilitating the return of the mortal remains of a Kashmiri student from West Bengal. In a statement DDC Chairman Nazir Ahmad Khan said that a young student from Budgam district was tragically found dead at a college hostel in Kolkata, West Bengal.
He said that the necessary arrangements were made to airlift the student’s body from West Bengal to Srinagar, following assurances of assistance from the West Bengal Government. He extended his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to J&K Students Association National Convenor, Nasir Khuehami, for his compassionate support and efforts in ensuring the safe repatriation of the deceased student’s body to his family in Budgam for completion of last rites at his ancestral village at Budgam.
Khan highlighted that the J&K Students Association took immediate action by contacting the West Bengal Government to expedite the repatriation process. He expressed his deep appreciation to Khuehami for his invaluable assistance, support, and prompt coordination with the SP Diamond West Bengal, Director Airport, and other relevant authorities in response to this tragic incident
