DC Shopian applauded people for following guidelines, SOP’s

SHOPIAN: The Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today at Mini Secretariat, Arhama, Shopian briefed the media about the present situation of Covid-19 pandemic in the district and applauded the people of Shopian for following all the guidelines and other SOPs in letter and spirit and said that the recovery rate of Covid positive patients in the district is improving well while the death rate has also been declined.

Sachin Kumar said that imposing the lockdown and corona curfew does not mean that the people may suffer but our aim is to save precious lives of people. He appealed the people of the district not to go out of their homes unnecessarily but stay at home to avoid the spread of deadly virus. He said that after imposing lockdown, we have witnessed continuous decline in number of positive cases. He said that efforts are on to ensure strict adherence to Covid -19 protocols to break the chain of coronavirus. He further said that all the requisite measures are being taken to defeat the 2nd wave of Covid -19 as the first wave was defeated.

He said that all the health functionaries are on their toes, working with great dedication, zest and zeal and leave no stone unturned in facilitating the patients and provide them all the healthcare facilities which they need off and on. He said that more precautions are needed in the coming days which are too much crucial, so the people should refrain to go out but the need of the hour is to remain indoors to get rid of this virus. He also said that all the Magistrates, Doctors and Police are cooperating well with District Administration and are working round the clock to break the chain of spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the district.

DC said that there are 45 positive cases in the district while the recovery rate is increasing day by day. He said that 98% vaccination

has been done and the process is on to achieve the cent percent target within a shortest possible time. He reiterated that the District Administration is always on forefront has enhanced infrastructure with better healthcare facilities in the District to save the lives of people. He added that there is no dearth of health care facilities in the hospitals and our health institutions are well equipped with oxygen, concentrators, bulk cylinders and other requisite equipments etc and the patients admitted are well treated.
