DC reviews Jal Jeevan Mission in Udhampur

Asks officers to expedite the pace of work for timely completion

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 05: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Jal Shakti Department to review the latest status of progress of each component of work  under Jeevan Mission  in the district.

At the onset, the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Ashok Kumar Sharma briefed the chair about  the latest  progress and role of different departments for effective implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission  in the district. He informed the that a total of 131 works under JJM scheme have been started in the District out of which 175 works alloted so far.

The DC took Sub Division wise extensive reviews of Jal Jeevan Mission and directed the concerned officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets during the current financial year.

 SDMs were directed to conduct field visits in their respective jurisdiction and monitor the ongoing work and submit the report on daily basis. He further directed the SDMs to ensure holding review meetings and sort out the issues related to implementation of JJM in their respective areas. He also stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and  adherence to timelines. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the pace of work to ensure that the ongoing works are completed well in time to provide necessary and much intended benefits to the general public.

He also captioned the officers to bring in notice of the concerned SDMs regarding the reasons of delay and the detail of all those contractors who are responsible for the delay. Forest issues were also discussed  during the meeting.

 Among others, DFO, Rushal Garg,  Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh,  SC Hydraulic Circle Udhampur Jal Shakti  R K Mahajan,  I/c Xen DPMU, AEEs  Udhampur/ Ramnagar/chenani attended the meeting.
