DC Rajouri inaugurates Rural Haat at Muradhpur
RAJOURI, APRIL 21: With the objective to provide marketing facilities to local Artisans, SHGs, Small Scale Entrepreneurs to sell their product, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal today inaugurated Village Haat at Muradpur alongside NH 144 A.
Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Parihar; ACD, Vijay Verma, BDO Rajouri, Chanderkant Bhagat, Sarpanch concerned, an officer from NLM and other departments were present during the event.
Speaking at the inaugural event, the DC said that the Rural Haat has been established particularly for those who have no individual and separate marketing facilities for selling their products.
He said the main objective of the rural haat was to provide a marketing platform to farmers, small scale entrepreneurs and SHG members to sell their agri-horti, handloom, handicrafts and livestock produce at one place, and this will further play a crucial towards ameliorating their socio-economic conditions.
The Deputy Commissioner also shared details of various development initiatives and programs taken up in the district like training of SHGs, and artisans etc.
Later, the DC also inspected the site of the Goberdhan project.
