DC Kishtwar reviews eviction of encroachment on govt land
Directs for expunging illegal entries on daily basis
KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY, 17: Deputy Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara, today reviewed the progress of eviction of encroachment and expunging of illegal revenue entries on Govt/ Common/Kahcharai and Forest Land, here at a meeting.
It was informed that illegal entries stand expunged to the extent of 368 Kanals and 09 Marlas till date.
The task has been assigned to respective Tehsildars on the directions of Supreme Court followed by the order of Administrative Department.
The DC directed all Tehsildars to comply with the directions and report compliance within stipulated time frame in order to restore the land to its legal status, so that evicted land can be gainfully utilized for developmental purposes as envisaged under the laid down framework prescribed by the administration of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
