DC Budgam visits various ULBS of Khansahab & Budgam Town
Says MTMP programme meant to ensure robust development of Town areas
BUDGAM, DECEMBER 12: Continuing, post My Town My Pride visits, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, S F Hamid today toured different Wards of Khansahab and Budgam Towns to take on spot assessment of availability of essential services and infrastructure development.
The DC was accompanied by President Municipal Council Khansahab, Irfan Ahamd Khan; President MC Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad; Vice- President MC Khansahab, Parveena Akhtar; Vice- President Budgam, Sami-Ullah Bhat; Ward Members, district officers, concerned EOs, members of local auqaf committees and other respected and locals of Khansaheb and Budgam Towns.
The DC conducted extensive tour to interior areas of these Khansahab wards and took on spot assessment of ongoing developmental works and sanitation campaign.
He also took stock of progress of road and drainage project at Shah Mohalla and Firdous Colony- Apporpore road project in Khansaheb wards.
The DC also visited different wards of Budgam Town including Housing Colony Ompora, where elected representatives and members of local Auqaf Committee raised their demands with the DC.
SF Hamid instructed concerned for prompt handover and takeover of roads and other public utilities for robust development process at Housing Colony.
He asserted that proper use of public utilities including poles and other assets in all wards.
During tour of these wards, DC met various local delegations to take direct feedback from them regarding essential services and development process.
He emphasized on speedy development and proper sanitation is maintained in all wards and works including drainage construction interior links, road development, open gym, tile works on lanes, bylanes and development of parks, bridges, culverts at all designated spots be expedited in these wards to ensure better facilities to general public.
He said besides robust development of all ULBs, post MTMP programme is being carried out for awareness of schemes and public welfare initiatives of government and the aim is to get feedback from the public.
