CRPF Srinagar Hosts Inter-Battalion Basketball Competition 2024
’73 Bn Emerges as Champion’
Srinagar, Aug 10: The Group Centre, CRPF Srinagar, proudly hosted the Inter-Battalion (Ops)/GC Basketball Competition-2024 for the operational units of the Srinagar Sector from August 8th to August 10th, 2024. A total of 23 teams from various operational battalions participated in this spirited competition, showcasing exceptional skills and sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony was graced by Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF, who served as the Chief Guest. He commended the players for their dedication and teamwork, highlighting the significance of sports in fostering discipline and unity within the force. Shri Yadav congratulated the winners and all participants for their remarkable performances, emphasizing the event’s success in promoting camaraderie among the battalions.
The tournament not only underscored the athletic prowess of CRPF personnel but also strengthened the bonds of mutual respect and cooperation among different battalions. The competition was a testament to the organizational excellence of the CRPF and its commitment to nurturing a healthy, competitive spirit.
In a thrilling finale, 61 Bn and 73 Bn faced off, with 73 Bn ultimately emerging as the champion team. Shri Ajay Kumar Yadav announced the conclusion of the event with the distribution of prizes and the felicitation of the participants and winning teams. He also extended his best wishes to all the teams for their bright futures.
