CRPF man wounded in Kakapora grenade attack
Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man was injured after suspected militants hurled grenade towards the Police Station Kakapora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said on Tuesday.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), suspected militants this evening hurled a grenade towards Police Station Kakapora, which exploded in its compound, causing injuries to a CRPF man,” police officials said.
The injured CRPF man was identified as Sonu Kumar.
Meanwhile, the sentry at the guard post fired some shots in the air after the explosion, he added.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama, Ashish Kumar Mishra confirmed to –KNO that a blast like sound was heard near police station Kakapora. “We are checking further details about it,” he said. (KNO)
