Crime Branch Kashmir Raids Multiple Locations in Srinagar, Budgam in Land Scam Case

Srinagar, Sept 27:

The Special Crime Wing, Srinagar of Crime Branch Kashmir is conducting house searches at five different locations in Srinagar and Budgam in connection with a cheating case registered at Police Station Special Crime Wing, Srinagar.

The case stems from a complaint alleging that the complainant was duped on the pretext of a land sale. According to the complaint, forged land documents were provided, leading the complainant to pay lakhs of rupees. However, it later came to light that the land did not belong to the alleged sellers—a fact confirmed during the preliminary enquiry.

House searches are currently underway, and further investigation into the matter is in progress.
