Crime Branch Kashmir Initiates Probe Into Alleged Bribe Solicitation by JD(U) President
According to an official communication from the office of the Inspector General of Police, Crime Branch J&K, the action follows a formal complaint filed by Dr. Sandeep Mawa, a Kashmiri Pandit resident of Karan Nagar, Srinagar.
In his complaint, Dr. Mawa has alleged that Shaheen demanded monetary favours from individuals under the pretext of securing them government employment.
The letter, addressed to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Srinagar, directs officers to complete the verification process within two weeks as per the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS).
The communication, issued with the approval of the Inspector General of Police, Crime Branch, J&K, has also been copied to the DIG Crime Branch and the Joint Director Prosecution, Crime Branch, Srinagar, for information and necessary action. (KDC)
