Crack down on illegal mining in Pulwama, machines, vehicles seized

Pulwama, Mar 18: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Pulwama Police conducted a special operation in the areas of Akhal and Drubgam in Rajpora.

During the operation, police teams seized vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, including 02 JCB machines, 01 dumpers, and 01 tractor.

Accordingly, FIR No. 34/2026 and FIR No. 35/2026 have been registered under relevant sections of law, including Section 303(2) BNS and Section 3 of the PPD Act, and further investigation has been taken up.

Pulwama Police reiterates its commitment to act firmly against illegal mining activities and urges the public to cooperate in safeguarding natural resources.
