Covid-19 vaccination to be free of cost for age group 18-45: LG Manoj Sinha

Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has decided to make Covid-19 vaccination free of cost for the people in the age group of 18 to 45 years.

The cost of vaccine will be fully borne by the government of J&K. The health department will constitute a panel to work out the logistics.

Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Lieutenant Governor in a tweet said, “It has been been decided that COVID-19 vaccination for people in the age group 18-45 years will be cost- free in the UT”.

“The cost of vaccine will be fully borne by the government of J&K.The health department will constitute a panel to work out the logistics,” it added.

Pertinently it is to mention that the vaccination drive will begin from May 1, 2021 across the country including Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the age group of 18 to 45 years.

Earlier, people above 45-years-old were only eligible for the Covid-19 vaccination. (KIMS)
