Covid-19 vaccination drive in progress at Tral

Tral: In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 infection across the District, a mass vaccination drive was organised in the Tral area of Pulwama today.
The COVID-19 vaccination drive is the “biggest” ever and “completely different” from the immunisation drives of the previous decades, said a “Survilence Team officer”.
The ADC of the area had planned to vaccinate 1,500 people today and target was achieved by the collective efforts of all the stake holders.
According to the reporter several Vaccine staffers was also spotted at many places like in Main town Tral,vaccinating the shopkeepers,senior citizens etc
While speaking to “ANN NEWS NETWORK” Irshad Ahmad , Survilence Team Head of the vaccination Drive told , “We are working on a war footing basis to innoculate the people of this Area. We are working collectively along with the Health Department Revenue, youth services and sports, education and Police .”
“Not only this, ASHA workers,ICDS Workers are carrying out door-to-door vaccination for those who cannot walk to the vaccination centre due to health reasons. To support us in this drive, several local teachers are also helping us,” he said.
Mohd Akram,basic heath worker from SDH Tral speaking at the venue said, “We feel happy to help people in this time of global crisis. I along with other workers are attending to the needs of the poor people,vaccinating and spreading awareness about this drive.”
“We all as a society must fight the pandemic together and recalibrate our priorities, giving utmost importance to Covid-19 protocol and vaccination. I urge every citizen of township to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour for weeks and months to come to effectively tackle this health crisis”, said Supervisor(NTPC’s) Shabir Ahmad on duty.
It’s pretinent to mention that the COVID-19 vaccine has been developed by the country’s intelligent workforce while taking into consideration all safety protocols, Director SKIMS” Dr Ahangar had said recently in an interview. He added, “One doesn’t need to fear about it.”
