Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducts searches across 7 districts in terror crime case
Srinagar, September 20:
Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday carried out searches at multiple locations across the Valley in connection with an ongoing terror-related investigation.
According to officials, raids were conducted at eight locations in seven districts, including Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kupwara, Handwara, Pulwama, and Shopian. The searches were conducted in pursuance of a search warrant issued by a competent court in connection with FIR No. 3/2023 registered at Police Station CIK, which pertains to a terror crime case.
Officials said the searches were aimed at uncovering material evidence linked to the case. “The operation is part of the continuing crackdown against terror networks and their support structures in Kashmir,” a senior officer said, adding that relevant documents and digital devices were seized during the exercise.
The CIK has intensified its operations in recent months as part of efforts to dismantle terror financing modules, sleeper cells, and networks aiding militant activities in the Valley.
Further investigation in the case is underway, officials said.
