Coronavirus: Tehsildar Zainapora sealed 25 shops for violating Section 144

Shopian, March 24: Authorities on Tuesday sealed twenty five shops which were found violating Section 144 imposed by authorities in wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The checking was led by Tehsildar Zainapora Fida Mohammad Bhat along with his team.

Authorities had imposed restriction under Section 144 in the district as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19 but despite restrictions, these shops were open in violation of the government orders.

A team of officials including Tehsildar Zainapora Fida Mohammd Bhat raided main market Zainapora and various places of Zainapora and sealed these shops.

Tehsildar Fida Mohammd Bhat said that they sealed 25 shops as they had defied restrictions imposed in the district under Section 144.

“We have been warning them not to violate government orders but despite repeated warnings these shops were open and we had to take appropriate action against them, ” he said.
