Consignment of illegal drugs seized in Srinagar
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully seized a large consignment of illegal drugs being transported through a courier service in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar district on Tuesday.
The consignment was recovered during a search operation conducted by police at the premises of Shree Maruti Courier Service located in Chota Bazar.
“Substantial quantity of illegal drugs including Mavrix-T Codeine – 220 bottles, Spasmoproxyvon – 15 boxes (7 strips per box) and Pregabalin – 60 strips were recovered after a search was conducted at the courier office followingreliable information,” police said in a statement.
“Following the recovery, a case has been registered under FIR No. 01/2025 at Police Station Karan Nagar under relevant sections of the law. Investigations are underway to trace both the forward and backward supply chain of the seized consignment,” the statement said.
“A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused involved in this trafficking network,” the statement added. — (KIMS)
